CIONCA® IP was founded in 2009 by registered patent attorney and trademark lawyer Marin Cionca. What sets our founder, Marin Cionca apart is his extensive engineering and entrepreneurial experience that he acquired prior to becoming an attorney. How many patent or trademark attorneys have started a business before becoming a lawyer? Marin Cionca has. We have filed and have prosecuted to grant hundreds of US patents for our clients, as well as foreign patents. We have patent and trademark associates in many foreign countries with whom we coordinate to have our clients' patents and trademarks issued in foreign countries as well. One type of application that often helps in this effort is the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) application. On the trademark side of our full IP practice, we filed hundreds of trademark and service mark applications for our clients with USPTO, as well as Madrid Protocol trademark applications in pursuit of foreign trademark registrations for our clients. We also represent our clients in trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) as well as in federal court patent or trademark litigation. Finally, we help our clients licence or sell their patents and trademarks: once they find an interested party, we draft licensing or assignment agreements and help negotiate such IP law agreements.
